Handbook - Evening Rehearsals

What happens at evening rehearsals?

Evening rehearsals are the main rehearsals for acting, singing, dancing, and fight choreography for the scenes and for the vignettes. Rehearsal time is usually scheduled in one-hour blocks. Rehearsals for acting, singing, dancing, and fight choreography will all happen separately and may take place on different nights. There are only three weeks of rehearsals, so please do your best to attend all your scheduled rehearsals.

When and where are they?

Evening rehearsals run Monday through Friday from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm during the first three full weeks of the term. Scenes are schedule individually, and the schedule is available on the calendar. You should aim to arrive about 10 minutes early. Please wait outside the rehearsal room until asked in.

By the second week of rehearsals, you should be off-book, meaning that you have all your lines memorized and you don't need your script.

Evening rehearsals are usually held in Hagey Hall. The rooms we have available may vary from night to night, so be sure to check the calendar for the correct rooms.

What if I can't make it?

Contact the Stage Manager. Please do your best to attend — there are only three weeks of rehearsals!

What should I bring?

You should bring water, your script and a pen/pencil to take notes with. For dancing rehearsals, you should bring comfortable clothing that will be flexible during dancing.
