Clubs Day Organizer—Winter Term
Come Winter, we will need to advertise our show at Clubs Day! If you think you can stand around in the SLC being obnoxious, or can organize others to do the same, you should apply!
Money is good. FASS likes money. You should get people to give FASS money.
Parking Pass Manager
Every year, the cast and crew need somewhere to leave their cars. Not everyone is a poor, starving student. The parking pass manager will need to arrange the purchase of passes from Parking Services and ensure that they get to the people who buy them.
FASS always has an absolutely amazing poster to advertise the show, and this year will be no exception, because you’re going to design it! FASS also has some kickass T-shirts for the cast and crew, and someone (usually the same person) needs to make those too. It’s an important part of the show!
If you want to make sure that everyone in the world (or at least Waterloo) sees our awesome show, be our advertising person! We need someone to coordinate poster runs and any other advertising we (you?) choose to do. Spread the word of FASS to the world!
FASS has a website, a Twitter account, and a Facebook account. FASS does not have a Google+ account yet. FASS needs someone to operate those accounts when everyone else is busy. FASS also needs to coordinate with other media like mathNEWS, Imprint, maybe the Globe & Post, so that they can write awesome reviews and get people to come to the show. The person in charge of online media ideally won’t be doing anything else during show month so that they don’t get distracted. By FASS.
Photographer & Videographer
FASSies like to collect memorabilia from the show, and a lot of it is very visual. Someone needs to be wandering around with a camera and taking photos to make our showbook look awesome. Someone also needs to set up all the video cameras to record FASS and ensure that our awesome production leaves its indelible imprint on a camera’s flash memory card. Or else FASS will be nothing but memories, and that’s sad.
Once all the raw footage has been shot, someone needs to put it all together to make a DVD. Maybe it’s you.
The FASS showbook is a fine tradition, going back to the year before FASS was founded. The showbook editor will create a true work of art by combining photos, quotes, design skills, and a couple of blank pages for signatures. You’ll design the number one most memorable piece of memoric memory (memoric is a word, I swear). Every FASSie will judge the fruits of your labour.
FASS gives credit where credit is due. The program designer will be responsible for getting all the credits from the managers in FASS, and ensuring that the show program completely and accurately reflects the company. Due to tight deadlines, this will likely require staying up very late one evening during the show week in February.
